Welcome to The Weekday Woman
If you’ve ever balanced Zoom calls with laundry duty, grocery-shopped while answering emails, or squeezed errands in between track meets and dance recitals, this space is for you. Maybe you even Googled “can stress burn calories?” during the school drop-off line. OR... Perhaps your days are filled with caregiving and business calls. Or you’re on the brink of the empty nest stage with full-time work/life obligations.
Either way, congratulations, you’ve officially found your people.
This is your weekday sanctuary. A place where smart shortcuts and mindset shifts replace overwhelm, where perfection takes a backseat, and laughter is both survival and joy.
Why We Need This
The double shift is real. Working women full-time often return home only to take on the bulk of caregiving and household tasks. Mothers are 1.5× more likely than fathers to spend an extra three or more hours per day on housework and childcare.
Burnout is rising. Globally, around 42% of women report feeling burnt out “often or almost always.”
Stress is more constant. About half of working women say they feel stressed “a lot of the day,” compared to ~40% of men.
Time & life feel unfairly divided. Women spend far more hours per week than men on unpaid childcare and housework. Even when both partners work, the invisible mental load of remembering, planning, and coordinating still often lands on women.
Work and home constantly collide. One in six women reports having to address personal or family responsibilities during work hours, daily or several times a day. And those same disruptions are strongly linked with a higher risk of burnout.
What This Means for You
You're not alone if:
You juggle meetings and meal prep and feel like neither gets your full energy.
You postpone “important stuff” (or fun stuff) until Friday, only to collapse in front of Netflix.
You feel guilty for letting something slip, even though you’re doing more than you'd tell people.
Because statistically, the systems around us assume more of women both at work and at home—and that assumption adds stress, fatigue, and often leaves us feeling behind (even when we’re doing everything).
What We Do Here
❌ Glorify burnout
❌ Worship busyness
❌ Pretend we’ve got it all together
✅ Make weekdays work for you, not the other way around
✅ Find joy in the juggle
✅ Cheer for progress over perfection — and celebrate wins big and bite-sized (yes, getting dressed counts)
So pour that coffee again (judgment-free), slide into your power flats or fuzzy socks, and let’s navigate this wild, wonderful weekday world together.
Because here at The Weekday Woman, we don’t just face the week—we flip it, finesse it, and finish it on our terms.
